Dr. Al-Saadoon is the Senior Vice President, Engineering & Asset Optimization of IPR Energy Group. Dr. Al-Saadoon is responsible for corporate review of all exploration and development activities, including monitoring, analysis, and oversight of the organization’s international and domestic portfolio of assets to maximize performance. He is the team leader responsible for reserves auditing and certifications, in addition to asset evaluations of new ventures. As a highly experienced petroleum economist, Dr. Al-Saadoon has been an integral part of IPR’s mergers and acquisitions success. He also serves as the technical liaison with IPR’s clients, partners and banks. Dr. Al-Saadoon has over 40 years experience in the oil & gas industry, including 20 years of extensive worldwide consulting and as a Professor of Chemical & Petroleum Engineering. He has worked in the Middle East, the Far East, North Africa, Europe, South America, and the USA. Dr. Al-Saadoon earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He earned his M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from West Virginia University and his B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from West Virginia University.
